Jacques Barbireau (1455-1491) was a younger contemporary of Ockeghem, succeeded by Obrecht at Notre Dame Cathedral in Antwerp.

This program was the seminal one for the present ensemble to begin singing this polyphony directly from the original manuscripts in original notation.
