This recording presents 23 motets taken from various, unspecified sources. The motets are grouped according to their place in the church calendar, with special focus on a group (5) of Regina Coeli settings. The motets are performed a cappella. Some are well known, such as the strongly chromatic Timor et tremor and the Christmas motet Omnes de Saba, others less so. In some motets, the pace appears to be somewhat forced.
