Album devoted to Vicente Lusitano (1520-1561), sometimes characterized as the first (i.e. first published, Liber primus epigramatum in 1551) black composer. Lusitano was apparently better known in his own lifetime as a theorist, including a rivalry with Nicola Vicentino in Rome.
