This is the first recording devoted specifically to Gilles Joye (1424/25-1483). The program includes his five secularly attributed secular songs (including one textless rondeau), and one of the two (or three) Missa super O Rosa bella cycles subsequently attributed to him (stated here as from the Lucca Choirbook).

A couple of older recordings with secular tracks by Joye:

Armes, Amours
Alla Francesca / Alta
Opus 111 30-221
Ars Antiqua de Paris à la Sainte Chapelle
Ars Antiqua de Paris - Michel Sanvoisin
