Comments:
Information from CD.
Title may vary - in Spanish for release in Spain, in English when distributed elsewhere.
One of many but a very acceptable and charming performance; CSM 338 and 189 caught particularly my attention. Paniagua included six previously never recorded CSM; he also adopted the W. Mettmann's edition of CSM for naming cantigas. Up to now (nov. 1998) more than 200 of 427 cantigas have been recorded since the first serious recording of CSM by Russell Oberlin in the mid-50s (now available on CD: Lyrichord Early Music LEMS 8 003 Las Cantigas de Santa María (Music of the Middle Ages Vol. 3)).
