This second volume of Trecento music makes a good followup to Syntagma's first volume, and many similar comments apply.
This recording does feature a more resonant acoustic, which shows especially with the voices. They resonate so much at times that it obscures some of the details, but overall it's an appealing sound.
This volume likewise features several little-known, but sophisticated songs from Italy in the 1300s, and does so in a superb interpretation, built upon the most up-to-date knowledge & experience with this music.
