Here the performances and selections are more boisterous, and that combined with it being the second similar program combines to give it somewhat less impact. However, articulation continues to become richer, and the renditions consequently more idiomatic. The tracks with shawms can be interesting on their own terms, and there are of course several very compelling tracks in a more subtle style.
