This release pairs archival recordings of Scelsi on one or more ondiolas, i.e. in "preliminary" versions of two of his greatest orchestral works — along with 20th century renditions of the scored versions. That for Aiôn appears to be the premiere. The tape compositions, especially that for Anahit, are also edited & superimposed, etc. So they show signs of being compositions per se, even though "tape composition" was not an established arena at the time....
