Some of these lists are rather short. They separate roughly into gamelan (percussion orchestra) music in the South and chamber music in the North.
In many cases, these lists are shorter than they need be. I've picked one disc out of several similar ones, based on my own preferences (and perhaps a lack of commitment to exploring the full variety of some of this repertory). Some of this music is better served on recording than others, and I hope my little discussions in the lists will make that relatively clear.
