Chembai Vaidyanatha Bagavathar was one of the most significant performers in the era when Carnatic music became transformed into a concert art. His background was in pure bhakti mode and itinerant existence. His style is very straight-forward and honest, making his influence quite decisive for the concert of today.

The composer on track #3 has been corrected due to Sankar Khrish.
