Sound quality: excellent (except the very end of track #2)

My original khayal/khyal list here was very short, largely reflecting the difficulty in hearing the more prominent, somewhat older performers. (There was a new generation of flashier singers around, and they were recorded.... And of course, I did end up making this effort for Carnatic music, more so than I did for Hindustani.) However, I'd already included Iqbal Ahmed Khan (1954/56-2020), a younger performer relatively speaking, for his recital on French label Makar, so when undertaking a more recent streaming survey, this was a Hindustani singer who was still making music at the time of my original lists. Indeed it turns out that he had three relatively more recent recitals available (on Qobuz), the present devoted to Bihag variants, another Rasa Anand (featuring Puriya & Kamod) & a third with a more muddled program.
I've been particularly enjoying this Bihag as an evening recital (even as the track break to end #2 is bungled...), especially given Khan's earlier album here being morning ragas.... (And as with so many of these streaming releases, many details, including accompanists, are unknown.)
