This is a tremendously compelling live performance, obviously centered on the large-scale elaboration of Sankarabharanam, but including some satisfying elements in the other ragas as well. This is clearly Lalgudi's most inspired performance presently on CD and not to be missed for anyone interested in Carnatic violin technique.
