This program highlights early scordatura tuning pieces from Italy & Germany. It notes Marini's Opus 8 as containing the earliest published example of scordatura, and gives Biber's Rosary Sonatas as the most extensive example. The program contains a nice variety of style within the basic scordatura idea.
