Other recordings by Christodoulos Halaris:

Halaris is mostly known for recordings of byzantine music and traditional greek music (Byzantine classical secular music, Sympotika, Pandora, Akritika, Byzantine Maistores, Hellenic odes, Music of the Aegean sea, Gamilia, Kleftika); from his reportory should be of interest:

Orata ORANGM2013
Music of Ancient Greece

Orata ORAPOUL 1010
Poulologos or the Rooster's Wedding - Byzantine satyric text of the 13th century

Comments:
The CD comes with ... nothing except the box and front/back-cover pages with titles. No source, no background, nothing. Diapason mentions that this CD is also part of a 3-CDs album with an appropriate booklet but I was unable to locate the set, not even the title. The only thing I can add is that a large part of Greece was under italian authority during the medieval era.

A reconstruction of some other Greek items:

Thyepoleo
Orphic Mysterial Rites
Chamber ensemble - Theodora Pavlovich, cond.
