For explanation of the content and abbreviation, see general explanation. This is a relatively complete discography of Folquet de Marseille.

Literary and Musicological notes.
According to:

  2. Gérard Zuchetto & Jörn Gruber in Le Livre d'or des Troubadours (Les Éditions de Paris, 1998), state that Folquet de Marseille wrote 27 pieces;
  3. Songs of the troubadours and trouvères : an anthology of poems and melodies, edited by Samuel N. Rosenberg, Margaret Switten, and Gérard Le Vot (Garland reference library of the humanities ; vol. 1740, 1998), authors stated: "His [Folquet de Marseille] poetry is well preserved: some 19 songs can be securely attributed to him, for the most part cansos, with 13 melodies;
  4. ... and The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (on-line edition) states "There are 29 poems extant hearing ascriptions to Folquet, 13 of them surviving with melodies"

The list (and spelling) of poetic pieces is from The New Grove for t/m. A complete list will appear in a future update.

After the title, (t) means text only, (t/m) text and melody; then follows in brackets the Pillet-Carstens sequential number (??.???) when such number exists. After the date of recording, a similar system of abbreviation appears: (t), (t/m), but also (t/-) text with another melody from the same or another composer, (-/m) melody with another text by the same or another writer, (t/?) and (?/m) when a writer or a composer cannot be identified.
